KRIB, AIKB and BSK WITH A COMMON POSITION ON THE PENSION REFORM IN A LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT GEORGI PARVANOV

DEAR MR PRESIDENT,

In connection with the amendments and additions to regulations adopted by the National Assembly, relating to the pension reform and related relations, we, the Association of Industrial Capital in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce - Union of Bulgarian Business and the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria - the voice of Bulgarian business, as representative organizations of employers, we express our clear and unequivocal support for the need for pension reform.

This common position of ours is formed both by the objective needs of the current state of the pension system and by our understanding of the need for serious, principled changes aimed at positive results in the future.

With a clear understanding of the unpopular nature of the measures being taken, we are convinced that it is better to have a decision now than to impose even more severe and restrictive changes in the near future.

In view of the above, we declare our common desire to inform you of our position on the issues presented at a joint meeting.
