KRIB fully supports the position of the Bulgarian Mining and Geological Chamber, expressed in an Open Letter to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, to ministers and other responsible persons, in which concern is expressed about the tension created around the "Velikan" field, which is concessioned by "Kaolin" JSC ", town of Merichleri, region Haskovo, and in particular by the unproven accusations that the operation of the quarry poses a danger to the environment and the safety of the region.
We believe that "Kaolin" AD fulfills its obligations as concessionaire of the field in good faith in terms of ensuring sustainable development of the region, says the open letter of BMGK. We remind you that the company is a long-standing and respected member of BMGK, as well as one of the largest employers and taxpayers in Bulgaria.
