Kiril Domuschiev Was Re-Elected Chairman Of KRIB
Kiril Domuschiev, current Chairman of KRIB, was re-elected unanimously for the next four-year term. The Annual General Meeting of the members of the Confederation of the Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria - KRIB was held on May 31, 2022 in Sofia Hotel Balkan.
The candidacy of Kiril Domuschiev for a member of the Management Board as a representative of Huvepharma EOOD was nominated and supported by the largest branch organizations in Bulgaria and bilateral chambers - the Bulgarian Construction Chamber, the Bulgarian Chamber of Mining and Geology, the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce as well as by a number of large companies.
The General Assembly elected a 29-member Management Board, which includes some of the largest and most respected companies and representatives of Bulgarian business
Chairman Kiril Domuschiev opened the meeting with the words: "Before we look the problems straight in the eye again and go to the next battle with them, we must say that we have a very serious support, a pillar and foundation, thanks to which we fight and we win - and this is KRIB! Our organization has clearly demonstrated its strength and cohesion both during the pandemic, and in the census of employers' organizations, and in defending the interests of our members in the change of several governments and a dysfunctional parliament, and in demanding and imposing rescue measures for business, and in our general protest readiness at the moment", said the chairman of KRIB and continued: "The facts speak for themselves - after the last census KRIB is again the largest national representative organization of employers in Bulgaria, many times larger than other employers' organizations according to the criteria. And no one disputes that fact anymore."
"I believe that showing solidarity and empathy is extremely important in this critical and difficult time. We at KRIB have always shown solidarity with our employees in overcoming difficulties. We have shown great solidarity with the needs of society during the COVID-19 pandemic and provided support worth over BGN 13 million. And now I know that many of you are sympathetic and help the needy both our compatriots and refugees from Ukraine, for which I thank you”, said Kiril Domuschiev. "We live in a time that requires us to be open-minded to people who are suffering and to the needs of society. KRIB has established itself as a key factor in maintaining socio-economic stability in Bulgaria and I deeply believe that it will continue to be so, and it depends on all of us together", said the Chairman of KRIB.
The reports of the Management Board on the activity of KRIB for the period January 1 - December 31, 2020 and January 1 - December 31, 2021 were discussed and adopted; the financial statements of the association for the same periods and the draft budget of KRIB for 2022; as well as the reports of the Supervisory Board of KRIB for the same period. The General Assembly made changes in the composition of the Management and Supervisory Boards of KRIB due to the expired one-year term of their members.
