In connection with the proposal published on the website of the Ministry of Finance to create a state-owned enterprise "State Oil Company", the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria uses the opportunity to once again express its principled support in the direction of ensuring real competition on the fuel market.
We find that the creation of such a structure will undoubtedly improve competition in the market and contribute to ensuring the lowest possible prices for citizens and businesses.
A guarantee for the achievement of this goal is the provision that the licensed storekeepers cannot refuse the storage of fuel to other depositors, as well as that the state company has storage bases in which to store fuel from other depositors as well.
Another positive element in the proposal is that the state oil company will also perform all the functions of the state reserve for the storage and renewal of reserves of petroleum and energy products.
This also coincides with the position of the Central Committee regarding storage facilities.
