MESSAGE

In the Bulgarian excise and tax policy, the principle of non-transparency, double standard in the legislation and lack of dialogue between business and the administration is constantly reproduced, is the general opinion of associations and representatives from all branches producing and trading with excise goods in the country.

At a general meeting in KRIB, the managements of the Bulgarian Oil and Gas Association, the National Viticulture Chamber, Bulgartabac Holding AD and KT International EAD and others united around the opinion that the changes in the excise and tax legislation, both statutory and by-laws acts are carried out without assessing their impact on the business, with the imposition of an excessive administrative burden entirely at its expense and in the absence of dialogue.

In this regard, the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria will make an urgent request for a meeting with the Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, the Minister of Finance and the heads of the excise and customs administration, at which all recent and upcoming changes to the regulatory regulations affecting the production and trade of excise goods in the country.
