In connection with the draft of the Law on Amendments to the Social Insurance Code provided to us, with which it is envisaged to preserve /freeze/ the age and insurance experience for acquiring the right to a pension at the levels reached in 2013, as well as creating the possibility of more early retirement - up to 24 months, if the person does not reach the age and/or insurance length of service, and the amount of the early pension is determined with a reduction of 0,4 percent for each missing month, the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria expresses the following principle position:
KRIB is a party to the signed National Agreement on a new strategy for financial stabilization of LLPs and improvement of pension legislation.
A meeting was recently held between the Minister of Labor and Social Policy and the nationally representative organizations of workers and employers.
An analysis of the agreed measures related to the overall policy of the pension system is pending. In this regard, the proposals related to the pension model should be considered in its entirety.
Regarding the proposal for early retirement, KRIB has more than once expressed its principled position to limit the number of privileged groups and early retirement schemes. The recommendation of the European Commission regarding Bulgaria is also in the direction of limiting early retirement.
